iPhone 4S hands-on..

Finally got my hands on the Apple 4S, the latest marvel from Apple Inc.
This is a brief review of the Smartphone, which is yet to be launched in India..

Appearance & external connectors:

The phone is almost identical to its elder cousin, the iPhone 4..
It has a finger-print and scratch resistant screen..
The top houses the power switch and the a 3.5mm audio jack..
The bottom has Apple connector and speakers..
The right side has a sim card slot..
Left side has volume buttons and silencer switch..

New Processor:

The iPhone 4S has a new heart- a dual core A5 chip, the one which powers iPad 2..
The chip delivers more power and faster graphics.. Web pages load 2-3 seconds faster.. Gaming is a lot better.. Many apps can be launched simultaneously(I was able to open 8 apps)..

All new 8mp Camera:

An advancement over the 5mp..
The photo quality has improved.. 1080p HD videos can be recorded..
The LED flash works well during low-light conditions..

The larger aperture improves better illumination..
Anti-blur, auto-focus and face detection are a few additional features..
This camera is better than Nokia's 12mp cam, in terms of picture quality..
The lack of optical zoom is a little inconvenience, but there are apps to settle this issue..

New operating system:

iOS5 manages to bind all the features on the iPhone 4S..
The notification panel is similar to that on Android..
You can customize the home screens according to your preferences..
The iOS5 apes Android in many aspects..
This is an integrated operating system..

Siri:

There were many Smartphone manufacturers who tried to build a voice-guiding software(like Nokia's vLingo)..
But this is Apple, and Siri delivers pretty well..
Be it playing a song, searching for a location anywhere in the world, creating a reminder or sending a message, it does it all provided your English is grammatically good, else Siri says, "I cannot do that"..
You can't update your Facebook status or tweet using Siri..

Media:

iPhone 4S can play audio/video files of almost every format..
Thanks to the brilliant display, videos are a pleasure to watch..
Gaming experience is at a whole new level.. When its comes to gaming, this device has no competition in the market..

iCloud:

This is a new feature provided by iOS5..
It helps you back-up files to the server..
Apple offers 5GB of storage space for your content..
Remember, you have only one account for all your Apple devices..

To sum up, iPhone is a phone that is exceptionally smart..
It has everything you need or don't need in a portable device..
It beats most of the smart-phones in the market with ease..
It will be interesting to see the pricing in the Indian market on its launch..
